Post Office history in the State of Wyoming has to be accompanied by the historical development of the state. Starting by presenting the periods described by pre-territorial, territorial, the original county formation, and the county changes as of today. Each of these time periods influenced growth in the population, industries and businesses. Some saw the need for serving the vast areas of the state by providing a place to gather for sending and receiving the mail inthe 19th thru the 21st century.
